The 20-Minute Mistake: Why Your Bathroom Fan Needs a Timer
Most homeowners flick the bathroom fan off the second they walk out the door. It feels like"common sense"—the shower is over, the steam is mostly gone, and you want to save electricity.
The Reality: Steam is a ghost that lingers. Even after the visible fog clears, microscopic moisture particles remain trapped in the air and settled on your ceiling. If you cut the power too early, that moisture seeps into your drywall and insulation, (behind mirrors, vanities, baseboards and toilets) breeding mold colonies.
